Mechanical and anti-corrosion protection systems for buried steel pipes are made of a primer and two protective strips, the inner is for anticorrosive protection and the outer is for mechanical protection. Exceptions are tapes: 122.30 and 394.40 type “monotape”, having properties which give them both anticorrosion and mechanical protection.

Anticorrosion and mechanical protection with ALTENE systems is used for anticorrosion and mechanical protection against acid, alkali and salts agents in soils or waters. Also, to protect buried tanks exteriors, both for new tanks and for repair and recoating works.
